Melissa Cluff, MS, LMFT, CSAT
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT #201348) who genuinely loves what I do! I provide individual, couple, and group counseling, specializing in relationship issues, sex addiction, and trauma.
My favorite quote is "Real is better than perfect" by Dorothy Satten. This philosophy is especially meaningful when working with those struggling with addiction, as it often means being real with themselves and others for the first time in their lives. I believe that being authentic and open in our relationships builds deeper connections with those who matter most. We are all working through something—whether trauma, addiction, mental health or relationship challenges—and having people to share those struggles with makes the journey less daunting because we know we are not alone.
Sex Addiction Training: I'm a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT) through IITAP. I trained directly with Patrick Carnes and have extensive experience working with men struggling with sex addiction.
Trauma Training: I'm trained in EMDR through both EMDRIA and the Parnell Institute, trained directly with Pia Mellody in her Post Induction Therapy (PIT) model, and certified in the Neuroaffective Relational Model (NARM) for addressing attachment and developmental trauma. I incorporate Psychodrama into my groups, workshops and sessions.
